On Tuesday, MPs approved the amendment to the Fund for the Promotion of the Arts (FPU) Act as a whole. Changes to the FPU law should have been voted on roughly three weeks ago, but the coalition parties Hlas and SNS could not agree on the final wording of the amendment.
The Slovak national hockey team was knocked out of the 87th World Championship in the quarter-finals. In Thursday’s game in Prague, they lost to Canada 3:6.
The Canadians quickly led 2:0 and were also winning 5:1. Peter Cehlárik reduced the deficit in the first period when Brandon Hagel knocked the puck into his own net, but the favorite rebounded to a two-goal difference in the 24th minute and secured the lead in the third period with two goals scored within 20 seconds.
