Dominik Novák je multiinštrumentalista a hudobný producent, aktuálne pôsobiaci v zoskupeniach Kúpel Mysle, Kultúra Smrti a v audiovizuálnom projekte The Blackwood Incident. Jeho sólová tvorba pod aliasom Katov Syn(th) sa vyznačuje kombináciou kazetových loopov, analógovej syntézy a spätnej väzby, ktoré posúvajú hranice fyzického zvuku do hlbších úrovní vedomia. Možno ju počuť napríklad na debutovom albume The Blackwood Incident Curse of the Tribe či v rámci tanečných predstavení Soni Kúdeľovej Autopilot a Autocorrect. Je členom projektu Batyskaf, ktorý sa zameriava na organizáciu podujatí nezávislej kultúry v Bratislave.

Dominik Novák is a multi-instrumentalist and music producer, currently active in the bands Kúpel Mysle, Kultúra Smrti and in the audiovisual project The Blackwood Incident. His solo work under the alias Katov Syn(th) is characterized by a combination of tape loops, analog synthesis and feedback that push the boundaries of physical sound to deeper levels of consciousness. She can be heard, for example, on The Blackwood Incident’s debut album Curse of the Tribe or in Sonia Kudelova’s dance performances Autopilot and Autocorrect. She is a member of the Batyskaf project, which focuses on organizing independent culture events in Bratislava.

Termostat je projekt podporujúci umenie a kultúru. Našim cieľom je vytváranie možností pre sebavyjadrenie umelcov, a ďalších ľudí pracujúcich v oblasti kultúry. Tvorcom poskytujeme auditívny a audiovizuálny priestor – podcasty, online eventy, a po uvoľnení situácie aj živé akcie, konajúce sa na jedinečných miestach s brutalistickým a industriálnym nádychom. Umelci, s ktorými spolupracujeme, sú najmä začínajúci kreatívci, ktorí si podľa nás zaslúžia väčší spotlight.

Termostat is a project that aims to support the arts and culture in Slovakia. Our goal is to create opportunities for the artists and other people working in the creative industry to present and express themselves. We’re providing the creators with an auditory and audiovisual space which includes podcasts and both online and live events (when they’re possible due to current Covid-19 situation) taking place in unique locations with a brutalist and industrial touch. The artists we work with are mainly young emerging creatives who we think deserve a little more spotlight.
